On May 15, 2018 Statoil Canada Ltd. changed their name to Equinor Canada Ltd.

Equinor Canada Ltd. (formerly known as Statoil Canada Ltd.) has submitted a project description for a proposed exploration and delineation well drilling program in the offshore NL area over the period 2008 through 2019. On April 6, 2017 the C-NLOPB made a determination extending the temporal scope to the end of 2019. The project is listed on the Inclusion List Regulations under the CEA Act and requires a Screening level of assessment.
